Privacy Policy

Cupid Mate suggests replies for your conversations. To do that we must process the content you enter. This page explains what we receive, what we use it for, and what you can ask us to do.

1. Data we process

  • Content you enter: the messages you paste, notes about the person you are texting, and the direction you want the AI to take.
  • Chat screenshots you upload (only if you use the image-reading feature).
  • Account data: the email address used to receive your 6-digit sign-in code. We store no passwords because the product is passwordless.
  • Anonymous usage data: when a suggestion was requested, which style was chosen, ratings you press, daily usage counts, a session identifier, and a one-way hash of your IP address used to stop abuse of the free tier.

2. Purpose and legal basis

  • Producing the suggestions you asked for — basis: performing the service you actively requested.
  • Sign-in and Pro plan management — basis: performance of the service agreement.
  • Fraud prevention, free-quota abuse prevention, and platform security — basis: legitimate interest of the provider.
  • Improving answer quality using aggregated, non-identifying metrics — basis: legitimate interest.
  • We do not sell your data and do not use it for targeted advertising.

3. Third-party processors

  • AI model providers: the content you enter is sent to a language model to generate suggestions. We send only the content needed, never your email alongside it.
  • Cloud database and object storage: used to store accounts, profiles, and uploaded images.
  • Transactional email provider: used to deliver the 6-digit sign-in code.
  • CDN / edge protection: processes IP addresses at the network layer to block attacks.

4. Retention

  • Profiles and replies you save: kept until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Anonymous usage records (quota and statistics): up to 12 months.
  • Chat screenshots: used for your request only; we are moving to automatic deletion right after processing. You can request immediate deletion at any time via the email below.
  • On account deletion request, identifying data is removed within 30 days, except records we must retain for invoicing/payment rules.

5. Your rights

  • You have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to delete, to withdraw consent, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP.
  • To exercise these rights, email support@appcupid.com from the address you registered with. We respond within 72 business hours.

6. Other people's data in your screenshots

  • Conversations and screenshots you upload usually contain another person's messages. You are responsible for uploading only content you are allowed to use, and never content involving anyone under 16, harassment, or stalking.
  • We do not use that content to build profiles about third parties and do not attempt to identify them.

7. Minors

  • The service is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

8. Changes

  • Last updated: 2026-08-30. We will announce material changes on this page before they take effect.
